Dragonfly Jewellery Box Lacquer Red 14cm

 Beautiful hand made lacquer jewellery box in Red. This box is perfect to keep jewellery in. It consists of 1 removeable inner tray and a compartment underneath. The box is fatstened with a hand made buffalo horn dragonfly. The lid opens on a brass hinge. The size of the box is 14 cm x 14 cm x 14 cm.Red is the colour of happiness in vietnamese culture. All our lacquer is hand made for us in Vietnam, where it has been made for centuries using natural materials. Around 25 layers of lacquer are used on each item. The lacquer is build up one layer at a time allowing each layer to dry and be sanded before another is added, meaning that each piece takes 4 to 6 weeks to produce. Because all our products are hand made using natural raw materials there can be slight variations in the surfaces and colours.
